Dissecting the Complexities of Social Media, from Cyberbullying to Sexting

from 35.00

Course Description: The use and abuse of social media has exploded in recent years. One study has stated 3/4 of all teenagers use some form of social media at least once a day. What are the current trends of social media? What is a school's role in issues involving cyberbullying or sexting? How do you educate students about appropriate use of this new medium?

This online course will examine these questions and others facing educators on the usage of social media. Discussions will center on current trends among students, legal information on social media, and how to center conversations with students on the use of this platform.
