Course Description: Students who are immigrants or from immigrant households experience many difficulties integrating into the school setting. Language is a common barrier, but there are many others from cultural norms to acceptance in often rural parts of Iowa. How can you create a more inclusive school and classroom for these New Iowans?

This online class will examine the issue of immigration and offer thought provoking methods to assist in supporting these students including anti-biases information, privilege, resources to better support, and other information from leading experts.
