Note: This two-day class is eligible for 1 license renewal credit through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) or 6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for youth-serving professionals. Course Description: Creating a classroom where LGBTQ youth feel safe, seen, and supported is essential for fostering academic success and well-being. This two-day course equips educators and youth-serving professionals with the knowledge and tools to build affirming learning environments. Participants will explore the impact of bias and discrimination, learn strategies for inclusive practices, and gain concrete skills for preventing harm and supporting LGBTQ students.

Transcripts
Please allow up to three weeks for transcripts to be processed following a course end date.  License renewal and paraeducator credit transcripts can be requested at https://www.safeschoolsacademy.org/transcripts following a course's completion.
