Course description:

1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men report that during their lifetime they will be a victim of sexual assault. This issue has risen to the top of many news cycles with conversations around sexual assault in the military, college campuses, and high schools. Why is sexual assault so prevalent? What creates this rape culture?

This online class will examine the issue of sexual assault and offer thought provoking methods to assist in preventing and changing the rape culture that exists. This course will use a variety of resources including from leading experts and feminists in this field.

Graduate Credit Policy
Participants are limited to 12 graduate credits per semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) from Drake University.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
All course cancellations or requests to change credit type must be received in writing or electronically at least fourteen days prior to the class start date. All refunds requested before this deadline will be subject to a $40 cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued on cancellations received after this deadline, however, we can move you to a future session of the same course if possible. Iowa Safe Schools and ISEA reserve the right to cancel any course in the event of insufficient registration, in which case a full refund will be issued. Cancelled courses may be rescheduled at a later date.

Please allow up to two to three weeks for transcripts to be processed following a course end date. License renewal and paraeducator credit transcripts are available at following a course's completion. This transcript will represent all classes taken through ISEA over the past several years. Drake Graduate transcripts may take longer to receive and will be sent directly to the individual.
